We offer both incremental and absolute hollow shaft encoders in a variety of dimensions and pulses. Hollow shaft encoder can be mounted to a motor shaft directly and fixed by using a flexible spring plate to prevent the encoder from rotating and vibration . The hollow shaft encoder is easier to install than solid shaft encoder, eliminating the need for a coupling and do not require motor shaft alignment with respect to the encoder. we offer two types hollow shaft: hollow shaft through hole or hollow shaft blind hole (hub-shaft) - For incremental hollow shaft encoder we provides inner hole diameter from 2.5mm to 82mm and resolution from 50ppr to 80,000ppr - For absolute hollow shaft encoder, we provides inner hole diameter from 8mm to 15mm and resolution from 50ppr to 80,000ppr
Absolute Encoder
Absolute encoders are feedback devices that provide speed, position information by outputting a digital word or bit in relation to motion. Compared to incremental encoders, absolute encoder always outputs with a continuous stream of ubiquitous pulses, it outputs unique words or bits for each position. By outputting a digital word or bit instead of a stream of pulses, absolute rotary encoders offer several advantages: 1.Higher overall resolution than incremental encoders 2.Better start up performance because of low homing (or initial position) time 3.Accurate motion detection along multiple axes 3.Multiple output protocols for better electronics integration to meet with various applications. 4.Better recovery from system or power failures to shorten the motor working life
Incremental Encoder
Output is a pulse signal that is generated when the transducer disk rotates as a result of the motion that is being measured.– By counting pulses or by timing the pulse width using a clock signal, both angular displacement and angular velocity can be determined.– Displacement, however, is obtained with respect to some reference point on the disk, as indicated by a reference pulse (index pulse) generated at that location on the disk.
